DIY – Peppermint Sugar Scrub

This little recipe came across my facebook notifications this morning and I decided to jump right in and try it out! I smells awesome; good enough to eat!! I added a few more drops of Peppermint than it calls for, and I used sweet almond oil instead of liquid coconut oil [cause that’s what I had on hand!] but everything else I did exactly like the recipe shows. My upline member Audrey Miller shared this, and only mentioned it was from Abundantly Oily.

Recipe:
1C White Sugar
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
5 Drops Peppermint
5 Drops Stress Away
1 small jar
1/4 C Coconut Oil (liquid/fractioned)
(Or other carrier oil of your choice)

DIRECTIONS:
Pour sugar into a jar of your choice. Drop in essential oils. Add vanilla extract and coconut oil to jar. Mix well. Apply small amounts to desired areas of the skin for exfoliating.
I was able to add this recipe to 4-2oz white plastic jars found on Amazon.

Substitute any other of your favorite oils to create your own custom sugar scrub experience!

You can find cute little jars at the dollar store or amazon to put your hand made sugar scrub in for gifting.

Make labels and print them at home with avery labels! I used AVERY LABELS: 8293 – 1.5″ diameter. I like to go to their website and just design and print online for little projects like this.

Share your thoughts on this recipe below! Would you use different oils in your scrub? Which ones?
