Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

1 Peter 1:13-16

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:1-3

Dear Christian,

Do not grow weary in doing good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. Keep running the race. Set your heart on heavenly things. Don’t trust your heart (feelings). Seek Godly wisdom. Search the scriptures. Shine light in darkness. Find the Truth, (note; Truth with a capital ‘T’) and never abandon it; even when all others cling to a lie.

Be wise and harmless. Bear the Sword, and be salt. Put on the whole armor of God and fight the good fight of faith. Drop your burdens, shoulder your cross. God’s eternal glory and redemption is worth the struggle during this vapor of a life. Arm yourself for an attack, but keep at the work… building the defenses, enlisting new soldiers, showing God’s greatness in your weakness. Do the consistent, daily grind, and step up. Be the person God is calling you to be.
