Simply put, Adaptogens or Adaptogenic herbs, are plants that support the organs of the body to cope, balance and normalize functions particularly during periods of stress. This can be physical stress, chemical, or biological stressors.

A requirement for a plant to attain this title of adaptogen is that, not only is it helping the body ‘adapt’ to stress, it is also a safe, non-toxic herb. These things must be hand-in-hand.

Check out my latest sixty second snippet and hear the whole tidbit of information I share about adaptogens. Of course, there is so much more than could be said about this medical property, but the goal of these snippets is to bite-sized info for your busy life.

  1. I love the tidbit-style of this! It’s good info in a quick way. I don’t always have time to watch a long video so this is perfect to get my interest so I can research more when I do have time! I actually just saw that a popular tea company just came out with an “adaptogen series” so I was curious about what it was!

  2. I’m glad you found it helpful! That is kind of what I was thinking too. I can spend 60 seconds listening to something, but not usually willing to commit to 30-40 mins on a video! What great timing for this particular topic, since you just heard about adaptogens! Thank you so much for adding your comment here. I appreciate your time and your feedback!
